Frédéric Stévenin likes to describe himself as a wine entrepreneur. Château de Saint-Pey is the starting point of his family group’s Right Bank nuggets. Stévenin is keen to explore every possible avenue, from land reorganisation to vineyards and cellars, and has chosen to surround himself with young business partners, both from Libourne, free from the weight of the past.

Anthony Appollot, vineyard general manager and occasional geek, has launched a number of innovative projects, in particular intelligent spraying and berry sorting before the vinification process. He has been overseeing the vines at Saint-Pey since 2018.

Bruno Lacoste, managing director and oenologist, has been present at Saint-Pey since its acquisition in 2011 and takes over from Anthony at harvest time. His international experience in Brazil, Argentina and Spain has given him a thirst for learning and constant discovery. There’s no need for a consultant oenologist here…
